The Orlando Townhouse

I'll be honest. When I look at DIY blogs, I'm like a two-year old reading a book. I'm not interested in the words, I want to see pictures! I want to be inspired. I want to think....that's a great idea! I can do that in my home, or at this property. So, here you go. Before and after pics of a very rundown, rotten wall, water leaks, sheetrock in shambles, roach infested townhouse that I turned from dark and dreary to happy and ready for a family!

Welcome home! Before and After of living room, dining room, and kitchen wall

Kitchen, View 2 I used chalk paint on the cabinets, added beadboard end panels and added lattice strips to the door and drawer fronts to give them a shaker look. I replaced the damaged laminate with granite (save $ by requesting scraps from your awesome granite guy) and used maple butcher block on the bar ($199 at lumber liquidators). I covered the damaged Sheetrock/stipple ceiling with 1/8" plywood and ran lattice strip battens.

Before and After

Afters I know, the fridge is awful. I'm just waiting for a good deal on Craig's List.
